Haag Certified Inspector – Residential roofs - Program information
Course Dates:
May 17-19, 2022– HCI-Residential Roofs--Canadian Version
Requirements:
The HCI program is intended for industry professionals wishing to improve their damage assessment understanding and techniques. HCI-R attendees must verify that they have minimum experience of 100 roof inspections as the primary inspector assessing damage within the past 10 years. HCI-C attendees must verify that they have minimum experience of 50 commercial roofs inspections within the past 10 years, or at least three years commercial property field adjuster experience. Random industry experience and reference verification may be conducted to verify an attendees experience. Haag Education may make exceptions to this policy for anyone who holds a professional engineer (P.E.) license and has significant roof design, installation, damage assessment or manufacturing experience. Exceptions must be documented in writing by an official of Haag Education and must be requested no less than 14 days from of the start of the class. Email education@haagglobal.com.
Haag Certified Inspector – Residential Roofs description
The Haag Certified Inspector program for residential roof inspectors (HCI-R) will help you build on your knowledge of damage assessment to residential (steep slope) roofs by teaching you Haag's inspection and damage assessment methods. The HCI-R program focuses on hail, wind, inspection techniques, inspection safety, composition roofs, fiber cement/synthetic roofing materials, tile roofs, slate roofs, wood shake and shingle roofs, metal roofs and repair vs. replacement analysis. This class is eligible for 18-20 hours of continuing education credit for insurance adjusters, and is eligible for other CE programs as well.
What is Haag Certification?
Haag Engineering and Haag Education certifies that those attendees who have completed the class have verified required work experience, and have completed the entire twenty hours of classroom instruction. All Haag Certified Inspectors have also passed the corresponding HCI examination to Haag's minimum required standards.
Haag reserves the right to revoke certifications of any Haag Certified Inspector at any time, for any reason.
